Cloud technology is becoming more widely accepted and adopted by businesses, and people might think of the Cloud as new and different. The concept of hosting IT functions away from a business location as an outsourced service is nothing new. However, new Cloud innovations are changing how people use the Cloud and what the Cloud can be used for.
When people think of a Cloud provider, they most likely think of the largest global providers - Microsoft, IBM, Amazon, Google. InfoSystems Vice President Scott Davis refers to these providers as "hyperscalers". These large Cloud providers are able to handle massive Cloud deployments on the fly. They also are built to be extremely easy to purchase and begin using. In the business world, enterprise and larger mid-sized companies don't typically require hyperscale capabilities, which leaves the best use cases for these offerings as a place to deploy development environments and data archives.
This is where a real point of differentiation comes in to play. These enterprise and large mid-sized companies can't afford to put production workloads in the hyperscale public Cloud, which opens the door for InfoSystems to build what we call "Production-ready Cloud".
Organizations need to be very aware of the fine print when signing up for any Cloud solution. The fine print is often overlooked when making an online purchase from one of the hyperscalers. InfoSystems, on the other hand, takes extreme care to understand every customer's business needs and then commit to the performance that a company would expect from a professionally-built on-site solution. These Production-ready Cloud solutions are then backed with a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to protect both parties.
