Ep 12 - Gig City Elixir Conference with Bruce Tate

With more than a year of podcasting under our belt at InfoSystems, we are lucky to have earned some goodwill with people around the community who now offer suggestions and introduce us to potential guests for our podcast series. We love covering local technology-focused events and announcements, and our friends at Co.Lab recently introduced us to the organizers of an upcoming programming conference planned for Chattanooga. The Gig City Elixir Conference is scheduled to take place October 26-27, 2018, and I had the pleasure of sitting down to record a podcast episode with conference organizer, Bruce Tate.

You could call Bruce Tate an accomplished programmer (or even a language geek) and you'd be saying a true statement, but still totally missing the mark. The amazing thing about Bruce's career in programming is the fact that he has documented and shared his successes and failures in multiple books that he has written and published over the years.

In this podcast episode, we talk about the highs and lows of Bruce's career, his books, and some hilarious and inspiring stories about some of the fascinating people he has met in programming - some of whom will be featured speakers at the Gig City Elixir Conference.

If you are interested in attending the Gig City Elixir Conference, please send a note to InfoSystems on our contact form and we can provide a special discount price to the event.

This event is nearing a sellout, so don't wait!
