InfoSystems Adds IT Veteran, Tim Morton, as Senior Solutions Architect

The addition provides InfoSystems clients with a dedicated solutions architect to manage their needs, including cybersecurity, throughout the lifespan of their partnership.

Chattanooga, Tennessee (March 3, 2020) — InfoSystems, a Chattanooga-based IT and cybersecurity company that celebrated its 25th year in business last year, has added IT veteran, Tim Morton, to its Infrastructure Engineering Team in the capacity of Senior Solutions Architect.

“Tim brings a wealth of technical knowledge to InfoSystems,” said Fred Cobb, Executive Vice President of Services and Chief Information Security Officer at InfoSystems. “His robust subject matter expertise includes, but is not limited to, network engineering, virtualization, Windows, Linux, server and networking hardware, firewalls, SQL, Microsoft Exchange/Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and much more. Tim also has deep dive experience in solution architecture, solution design, as well as in cybersecurity products and services.”

A Maryville College graduate, Morton has almost a decade-and-a-half of experience in the information technology space, including stops at Pilot Travel Centers as a programmer and analyst, LBMC Technology Solutions as a network engineer, and Sword & Shield Enterprise Security as an engineer and solutions architect.

“I am really looking forward to utilizing my technical expertise to take care of our clients at InfoSystems,” said Morton. “I love helping clients with various engineering projects, delivering to their security needs, and making sure their infrastructure is optimized and up to date.”

Related to Morton’s cybersecurity responsibilities, InfoSystems launched InfoSystems Protect in July 2019 to meet the growing regional demand for a dedicated cybersecurity partner. Protect clients are able to sign up for a monthly service that includes cybersecurity tools, services, and training. They can also purchase and implement specific technologies individually, and they can book the InfoSystems cybersecurity team for consulting engagements.
