CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - (October 5, 2017) InfoSystems, Inc., Chattanooga's leading technology solutions company, announces the promotion of Robert Goodwin to director of engineering services. Goodwin has been part of the InfoSystems technical services team for more than nine years.
"Nearly a year ago, Robert agreed to take on leadership of our engineering team, as well as our new project management office (PMO)," said Clay Hales, InfoSystems' President and CEO. "He has taken these two areas to new levels of success with his diligent work and proven ability to solve big-picture problems for our clients. In this new position, Goodwin will oversee engineering operations and help drive our ability to offer CIO level strategy and visioning for our clients and as well as InfoSystems.
In his previous roles, Goodwin gained more than 20 years of experience as a systems/storage administrator and analyst for national companies like Pershing Yoakley & Associates, PHP/Cariten and Covenant Health. In early 2008, Goodwin became a senior solutions architect at InfoSystems. Since then, he earned promotions to storage technology team leader and then to engineering services manager. He will now oversee a team of 12 at the company.
Goodwin graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an electronic engineering degree. He then became a certified IBM Certified Infrastructure Systems Architect, Prince2 Project Management Practitioner and TOGAF 9.
