According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the leading killer worldwide. The AHA has been working for nearly a century as an organization to fight heart disease and stroke, fund groundbreaking research in cardiac care, and educate individuals about preventing and treating heart disease. Heart Balls across the country support those efforts on a local level.
This year’s Knoxville Heart Ball went virtual, and together with patron sponsors like InfoSystems and Knoxville’s top supporter, Pilot Company, attendees helped raise more than $573,000 for the Greater Knoxville chapter. Pilot Company not only supports the American Heart Association as Knoxville’s Life is Why sponsor, but also supports the AHA through a storewide point-of-sale campaign which will take place later this spring. Because of this unique campaign, along with the generosity of additional sponsors like InfoSystems, the Knoxville AHA is grateful to have one of the top five Heart Balls in the nation.
