Eyeing a Post-Pandemic Event Landscape

Wow. Where to start? As I begin typing this blog, I am reflecting on all that the past year has been. There has been joy and sadness. There have been wins and losses. We’ve all experienced bouts of fear, matched with bouts of hope. We’ve lost loved ones or know those who have. We’ve worried about not only our health, but the sustainability of our local economies. We’ve worked to lift up local businesses as the pandemic altered our daily lives irrevocably.

In short, it’s been heavy.

But boy, does it feel good to say that today, again as I write this, I am feeling so encouraged. As vaccines reach more communities and case numbers drop, I am energized by the idea of seeing many of your faces in the not-so-distant future.

If you’re comfortable with masked in-person events, we’re planning a few and attending others. If you’re not, please know we support your decisions, and we hope you’ll stay engaged through video conferences until we can see you again face-to-face.

We know this thing isn’t over, and it’s our commitment to our partners, our employees and our clients that we will do everything within our power to keep you safe and comfortable as we navigate the rest of 2021. We’ll be sure to communicate very clearly about our plans for COVID-19 safety precautions at any in-person events we host, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

If there’s one thing I think we have all taken away from this challenging year, it’s to be patient, be kind and extend grace. In all that we do going forward, I’ll use these as my guiding principles.

I hope to reconnect with many of you soon. And until then, please stay safe and stay healthy.
