InfoSystems is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The person filling this position will define the scope and vision for projects using his or her knowledge of IBM and Red Hat platforms. In this role, the ideal candidate will perform pre-sales initiatives, as well as delivery and implementation of infrastructure and IT optimization solutions with a focus on a positive customer experience. As a Automation Enginner, you’ll gain an understanding of customer infrastructures and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to each customer environment. The ideal candidate will need solid technical and communication skills, experience with enterprise-wide deployments and a record of successful projects.

This role would report to InfoSystems’ Vice President of Engineering and work directly with sales, technical and managed services teams. Top candidates would reside in the Southeastern United States and the availability to travel, as necessary.

Automation Engineer Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep dive knowledge in both traditional and virtualized infrastructures while successfully completing client project assignments
  • Provide support for vendor software supporting virtual infrastructure environments for both SMB and enterprise clients
  • Bring innovative ideas, enthusiasm and energy to the project team while identifying new business opportunities
  • Constantly learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
  • Work with customers to plan and propose high-value delivery plans, while maintaining client satisfaction

Automation Engineer Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience and training
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing enterprise scale technology solutions
  • 3+ years of experience defining and implementing strategies under a CIO or other IT executive
  • Deep knowledge of at least one of Red Hat’s primary product sets including, but not limited, to Red Hat Ansible, OpenShift or virtualization solutions
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills: oral presentations, writing, negotiation, active listening, influence positive team dynamics
  • Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) credentials are highly preferred

The ideal candidate is expected to have a meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. To ensure success, our Cybersecurity Engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using firewalls, VPN, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, end-point protection, MDR, MFA, networking architecture, CIS benchmarked, web-proxy and various security audits. Top candidates will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, including (but not limited to) servers and infrastructure, hypervisors and virtualization, Cisco, SonicWall, Cylance and SIEM. The candidate should be able to confidently analyze clients’ security posture and seek improvements on a continuous basis, report possible threats, research weaknesses and find ways to counter them and find cost-effective solutions to their cybersecurity challenges.

This role would report to InfoSystems’ CISO and work directly with sales, technical, managed services and marketing teams. Top candidates would reside in one of the following Southeast locations: Nashville, TN; Chattanooga, TN; Knoxville, TN; Birmingham, AL; Huntsville, AL; Charlotte, NC; Lexington, KY.

Cybersecurity Engineer Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of our clients’ data, systems and networks
  • Troubleshooting of security and network problems
  • Responding to system and/or network security breaches
  • Ensuring that client data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
  • Participating in the change management process
  • Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities
  • Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization

Cybersecurity Engineer Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification
  • 5+ years of work experience with in the cybersecurity arena
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Great awareness of cybersecurity trends, current news and events and evolving hacking techniques
